How To

Best played with two players, divided into a speaker and listener(s). The Template will focus on the views the speaker has towards the team, compared to their expectations. The listener should take care to understand the speaker’s views, to correct any weaknesses in the future,

The game can progress in any order, with each ‘circle’ involving 2 questions for the speaker. The speaker will first share his thoughts, before turning over a card and interpreting it according to the CLUE KIT® methods.

  1. The Five Circles
The game explores the speaker’s views on 5 topics, including: themselves, their colleagues, their boss, the organization, and other concerns.

  2. The conversation can begin at any circle, and can end before all the circles are discussed, as appropriate
Once a circle is chosen, the speaker will answer question 1. Describe the event in their own words, and 2. Their expectations from the event. Speak honestly, before turning over a card and making your interpretation.

  3. Once the speaker has shared enough, you can end the game by following circle 3, which lets the speaker share their full, honest opinions on the team. This can be anything they wish could be improved or changed for better collaboration in the future.

  4. In this game, the listener should only listen in order to fully receive the honest opinions of the speaker

Inside Out

This Template is ideal for discovering a person’s potential and motivations. Understand their expectations and goals for the future, both long and short term. The Template encourages self-evaluation, perfect for use in organizations and career counseling alike.

Players are divided into 2 teams, speakers and listeners. It is an ideal tool in learning a person’s honest opinion about various aspects the listener(s), usable for interviews or introductions for new team members.

How To

For this Template, players are divided into speaker(s) and listener(s). The game will progress in order from step 1 to 6, and will focus more on the speaker(s)’s perspective (though listeners are allowed to ask questions). The goal is to let the listeners get know the speaker as much as possible. For each step, the speaker will first share their views, before turning over a card for interpretation.

  1. Me, in my opinion: The speaker(s) describe the way they see themselves, before tuning over a card.

  2. Me, in the opinion of those around me: The speaker(s) describes how their close friends or family have described them in the past, before turning over a card.

  3. Me, in everyone else’s opinion: The speaker(s) describe how they believe regular strangers see them, before turning over a card.

  4. My strengths The speaker(s) describes what they see as their 3 main strengths. The listeners may ask questions to further explore each answer, according to the STAR model:

    A. Situation Ask the speaker(s) to describe the event that made them believe they had that strength

    B. Task Ask the speaker(s) to describe the task they believe will allow them to display that strength

    C. Action Ask the speaker(s) to describe something they did that displayed this strength

    D. Result Ask the speaker(s) to describe what they believe are the results of having this strength

The listener(s) can ask each question in order, or choose the ones that apply best to the current conversation as needed.
  5. Short-term goals The speaker(s) describe the things they wish to accomplish in the near future, so the listener(s) can learn of their motivations. They can also be asked to describe their initial expectations for the team.

  6. Long-term goals The speaker(s) describe their goals for the long term, which can allow the listener(s) to determine what the speaker(s) value in life, so they may best inspire and support them towards that goal.
